Diabetes awareness from Grandmedical
Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital carried out a series of events regarding the importance of diabetes within the scope of 14 November World Diabetes Day events. At the stand prepared at the entrance of the hospital, citizens were given free sugar and blood pressure measurements, were informed about diabetes, and brochures on the subject were distributed.
Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital, one of the most important health institutions in Manisa, organized the 14 November World Diabetes Day event within the framework of social responsibility projects. Within the framework of the event organized jointly with Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) Faculty of Health Sciences, students of the Nursing Department of the faculty and hospital healthcare staff raised diabetes awareness together. At the stand set up at the entrance of the hospital, blood sugar and blood pressure were measured free of charge to patients who requested it, while information about diabetes was provided and brochures on the subject were distributed.
IT TRIGGERS MANY DISEASES
Grandmedical Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. Mümtaz Kahya, in his assessment of the importance of diabetes, said, “Diabetes disease is not just a problem of not balancing blood sugar in the body. "Diabetes negatively affects many organs and systems, from cardiovascular health to the kidneys," he said, adding that as a hospital, they are trying to fulfill their responsibility to inform all citizens about diabetes and other health problems in the best way possible.
