Medicine Day excitement at Grandmedical
Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital celebrated March 14 Medicine Day. In the feast, which was celebrated bitterly due to the earthquake disaster, prayers were prayed for all health workers and citizens who lost their lives.
March 14, the date when modern medical education started in Turkey, is celebrated as Medicine Day every year. This year's Medicine Day celebrations were grim due to the earthquake disasters last month. Manisa Grandmedical Hospital also organized a celebration program for physicians and healthcare professionals. Hospital Chief Physician Op. Dr. Mümtaz Kahya, in his evaluation, said that approximately 50 thousand people, including hundreds of physicians and health workers, lost their lives in the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, so this year's celebrations were bittersweet. Pointing out that many physicians and health workers still work voluntarily in the region, Kahya reminded that as Manisa Grandmedical Hospital, they participated in search and rescue efforts with personnel and ambulances in the region, and also participated in aid campaigns.
