Psychology is the science that studies behavior and the mind. In addition to conscious and unconscious events, it examines more emotions and thoughts. Those who are experts in this field and also conduct information research are called psychologists.
Both the directly observed behaviors of organisms and the complex mental processes that cannot be directly observed, such as thinking, visualizing, remembering, and imagining are within the scope of psychology. On the one hand, internal processes such as perception, attention, emotion, motivation, intelligence, personality; On the one hand, interpersonal relationship processes, in-group and inter-group relationship processes are the subjects of psychology.
This science, which has many sub-branches; Persons who receive the title of expert psychologist by completing a master's degree in any of the fields such as clinical psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, educational psychology work to be beneficial to humanity in these areas where they develop themselves.
Psychologists who have sufficient skills and expertise in their field go to different treatment methods according to the individual conditions of the clients who apply to them. In general, the aim of psychologists who perform psychological counseling, psychotherapy, psychological tests and psychological evaluations is to restore individuals to their former health as soon as possible.
Psychological counseling method is generally used as a basis for solving mild adjustment problems seen in people who do not feel well in social life and apply to a psychologist. In the treatment of more advanced behavioral disorders, the treatment process called psychotherapy is started. Psychologists convey detailed information about how and in what direction the treatment will take, and how long it will take, during the preliminary interview with the patients who apply to them, and thus the treatment is started.
